車頭紅色廠徽字、仿賽車旗格水箱護罩讓人一眼就認出208 GTi小鋼砲與一般208掀背的區別。此外，奔馳聲浪也極為迷人。不到4米的短捷車身、僅1160公斤重、搭配1.6升雙渦流渦輪引擎和6速手排，架構出了Peugeot 208 GTi靈巧的操控性能，而帶韌的底盤，在山路鋪成的五線譜裡總能奏出歡愉的音符。要說它劈彎力強，大致無誤！可這種說法卻不夠維妙維肖，進彎出彎它散發既不是殺氣、也非有條不紊的從容、而是一種淘氣、一種逗趣。報導╱陳宏銘 攝影╱張世平 部分圖片╱翻攝網路

Peugeot表示208 GTi是以過去205 GTi為師，但其實它開起來卻一點也不像205 GTi，從數據來看208 GTi樣樣強過205 GTi，發狂勁奔更貼人意，內外淘氣玩耍本領猶在205 GTi之上，但靈魂裡卻少了一份堅持到底默默奉獻的忠僕感。
208 GTi沒重手的手感，過彎準而輕鬆。瘋起來還帶著轉向過度色彩。
引擎可輸出200匹馬力、28公斤米扭力，0-100km/h加速只要6.8秒。
小而捷美的小鋼砲。但手排恐會減少有心想親近它的人。
關掉車身穩態系統，出彎補油門動力才會及時供給。
【車室設計】空間配備 差一氣
內裝僅是一般208加強版，車內薄皮質感覺易皺。
儀表外使用紅色框燈，看久視線會感到太過花俏。
桶型座椅雖照顧到行路性、支撐力也不錯。不過包覆、支撐的紮實度略微不足。
三門車型俐落簡潔，只是進出後座並不方便，同時乘坐空間也不是很大。

Peugeot 208 GTi是205 GTi復興旗號，於1984年誕生的205 GTi開始設定時是1.6升自然進氣引擎，最大馬力為105匹，1987年205 GTi擴充排氣量至1.9升，最大馬力也到128匹馬力，後來修正在120匹馬力左右，直到1994年205車系寫下句點、205 GTi時代正式謝幕。
